I am a single mother and engaged who is no longer a member of the workforce due to my chronic conditions (primarily Fibromyalgia, Polyarthralgia and Neuralgia). I am struggling to redefine myself.
These conditions/issues are life long and have impacted every part of my life. My ex-husband, Fiancee and son know first hand the daily battles…family and friends see glimpses. I know that I am not alone.
The concerns that our son has are shared by other children of sick parents. We parents as well as our children need to know it is okay to be scared, to have questions….to know that we can find strength when we reach out to help others.

Can I ask you what it is that you suffer from. My husband suffers terribly from RA and am looking for support even if its through a blog
Blogging and reading blogs is very helpful! I have friends with RA. My list of diagnosis does not include RA (however, I can definitely relate with associated conditions). I have Fibromyalgia, Polyarthralgia, Chronic Pain Disorder, Somatic Symptom Disorder, Pelvic Floor Syndrome, Permanent Colostomy, IBS-D, Neuralgia and Postherpetic Neuralgia.
There are a number of on-line support groups…and several of my conditions are lumped in with those dealing with RA. It is a great way to connect with others.
